Discover unforgettable journeys through the mountains, forests, valleys and hidden gems of Northeast India with Dooars Adventure.
Tell us the basics and we will come back with a route, hotels and a cost.
Dooars Adventure is a Northeast India travel company that plans and operates tours across Arunachal Pradesh, the Dooars, North Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim. We work on the western Arunachal circuit most of all — Bhalukpong, Dirang, Tawang, Bomdila and Shergaon — and that is where our itineraries are at their most detailed.
We handle the parts of a Himalayan trip that are hard to arrange from a distance: the vehicle and driver, hotels that are actually open in your travel season, the Inner Line Permit for Arunachal Pradesh, and a route paced so the driving days do not run into each other. Every package page sets out the full day-by-day plan, what is included and what is not, so you can see exactly what you are booking.
If a fixed package is not quite right, tell us what you have in mind. Group size, budget, travel dates, hotel category, places you want to add or drop — all of it can be adjusted, and a custom itinerary costs nothing to ask for. Whether it is a family holiday, a couple's trip, a nature escape or a longer adventure across two regions, we will plan around what matters to you and stay reachable while you travel.
Focused travel experiences across Northeast India rather than a catalogue of everywhere.
Distances, driving times, overnight stops and meals — set out before you book, not after.

March to June and late September to early November are usually the most settled months, with clearer mountain views and open roads. Winter travel is possible, though Sela Pass can close temporarily after heavy snowfall, and the monsoon brings a real risk of landslides on the Kameng road. We keep an eye on conditions and will tell you honestly if your dates are likely to be affected.
It depends on the region. A Dooars or North Bengal break works well in 3 to 5 days. Tawang from Guwahati needs 7 to 9 days to be enjoyable rather than exhausting, because the driving distances are long and the altitude gain is significant. Meghalaya and Sikkim usually sit somewhere in between at 5 to 7 days.
Yes. Indian nationals need an Inner Line Permit (ILP), which we arrange for our Arunachal packages using a valid government photo ID you share with us in advance. Foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit, which follows a different process and more lead time — please contact us early if that applies to you.
That is most of what we do. Send us your dates, group size, budget range and the places you have in mind, and we will put together a route with hotels and transport that fits. Existing packages can also be shortened, extended or combined with a different region.
Each package page lists its own inclusions and exclusions in full. Typically a package covers accommodation, the meals specified in the itinerary, a private vehicle with fuel, tolls and driver allowance, and permits where they apply. Personal expenses, entry tickets, parking and guide charges are normally excluded unless stated.
Many are. The main things to think about on Himalayan routes are the length of the driving days and the altitude — Sela Pass and Bumla Pass are high, and some travellers feel it. We can pace an itinerary more gently, add rest days, or suggest lower-altitude alternatives such as the Dooars or North Bengal.
Send the enquiry form or call us on +91 7431800421. We will discuss your plan, confirm hotel and vehicle availability for your dates, and send you a written itinerary with costs. Booking is confirmed once you approve that plan and pay the advance we agree on.
Our main focus is Arunachal Pradesh — particularly the Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila and Shergaon circuit — along with the Dooars and North Bengal. We also plan trips in Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim, and combined itineraries that link two or more of these regions.
